Created for the NALATA Festival, this historic edition was held in partnership with the renowned urban art museum STRAAT, located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The event brought together over 40 artists from different generations and styles in a broad celebration of urban art.

The artwork investigates the paradoxes of the Information Age through a cyberpunk dystopian lens. The internet — idealized in the 1990s as a space for the free flow of knowledge — has ultimately materialized a different reality.

In the culture of retention, we often drift aimlessly, hypnotized by the algorithm of doomscrolling, captured by a vigilant system that presents itself as freedom and digital autonomy.

Inspired by Byung-Chul Han's concept of Infocracy, the artwork explores how algorithms — driven by data collection, which is now an asset more valuable than gold — exert subtle and constant control over our behaviors and opinions.
