1997, São Paulo, SP. Lives and works in São Paulo.
Luna Buschinelli isa visual artist, muralist, and illustrator who began her practice in 2012 in the São Paulo graffiti and street art scene. Since then, she has expanded her work from the streets to canvas painting, murals, and digital animations displayed on large LED screens—constantly exploring the boundaries between physical and virtual space, between the city and the digital landscapes that inhabit the contemporary imagination.
Inspired by literature, philosophy, video games, and visual culture of the 2000s, her research investigates the emotional atmospheres of our time—turning our gaze to both the beauty and contradictions of our era. Her works engage with reflections from existentialist philosophy and psychoanalysis, seeking to understand how we construct meaning, identity, and memory in an increasingly fast-paced and connected world.
His poetry and narrative interact through a cyberpunk imaginary, a dystopian universe where advanced technologies coexist with profound social inequalities. In the Brazilian context, this tension becomes even more evident: hyperconnected cities coexist with complex urban realities, forming landscapes where antennas, wires, luminous screens, and graffiti-covered walls become part of the same visual narrative. And it is in this hybrid territory, between technology and everyday life, that his images develop.
Throughout her career, she has created murals and projects in different cities in Brazil and abroad, notably the Contos mural project in Rio de Janeiro (2017), recognized at the time as the largest female mural in the world, as well as her collaboration with filmmaker Tim Burton and the Crunchyroll platform. Her production moves between different scales and media, from urban art to canvas painting and digital animations, reaffirming an artistic practice that connects city, narrative, and contemporary imagination. By occupying both public space and digital platforms, her work seeks to broaden access to the artistic experience—based on the conviction that art should not be a restricted privilege, but a living language, capable of circulating and dialoguing with different people and contexts.
