Obscure: Curtain of Fire

Obscuro was a collaborative medium-length art film project written and directed by Matthew Magrath, known as Cinemagrath, released in 2023.

The artist contributed effectively with two oil paintings that shape the imaginary universe of the director. The story of Obscuro: Curtain of Fire tells of an individual's internal struggle when facing depression and anxiety, or in the director's own words, "about the eternal cycles of life from the perspective of a young person heading toward rock bottom, once again."

The project also featured special appearances by several other artists, including the band Scalene — creators of the film's original soundtrack — as well as voice acting by Luiz Carlos Persy and Luiza Caspary — the official Brazilian voice actors for Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us video games — voicing the characters Shadow and Red.
