Tatu Trails - São Paulo, 2024

spray and latex paint on wall - 8.90 x 5m²

The work contemplates the winding paths of the armadillo, a creature whose presence gave rise to the Tupi name for the Tatuapé neighborhood. Through a composition of frames - close to the structure of a comic book - the artist establishes a direct analogy between the path taken by the armadillo and the neural pathways of human thought.

Since São Paulo was founded in 1554, the city has been characterized by constant expansion over the decades. Based on this, the proposal encourages reflection on the relationship between urban development and human biology: the body itself functioning as a city and suggesting a parallel between these natural processes.
